DomusVi is preparing for the opening of its new residence in Les Franqueses del Vallès.
The facility, which the group has named DomusVi Nord, was developed by the investment group Healthcare Activos, which has once again entrusted DomusVi with the operation of the new residence under a long-term lease arrangement.
DomusVi Nord has 108 beds, distributed across 92 single rooms and eight double rooms, arranged in household-style living units. All rooms have adapted bathrooms and natural light. The centre has a total built area of প্রায় 6,000 sqm, as well as an outdoor garden of more than 1,100 sqm and an internal courtyard of around 220 sqm, designed to encourage time outdoors.
At the new Les Franqueses residence, DomusVi is once again adopting a comprehensive care approach, including medical care, rehabilitation, psychological support and nutritional monitoring. To support this model, the facilities include a gym, physiotherapy rooms and occupational therapy areas, in addition to services such as hairdressing and podiatry. The residence also has its own kitchen. DomusVi states that the care model at DomusVi Vallès Nord is aligned with its Humaniza project, which places the individual at the centre of care by taking into account each person’s life history, preferences and decision-making capacity in order to provide tailored and personalised care.
The opening in Les Franqueses will strengthen DomusVi’s presence in Catalonia, where the group will reach 15 residences and one supported living facility. Of these, 11 are located in the province of Barcelona, to which a further centre in Gavà will be added, also developed by Healthcare Activos and expected to open in the second half of the year.
